In my lasty post I talked about first aid and the benefits of medical alert jewellery. This post also have to do with health - Organ Donation - to be exact. Currently here in Denmark there is a huge campaign to make more people deceide wether or not that would like to donate their organs - should they be in an accident or something like that. It’s not really to make more people to donate but more to make people debate it and take side.

Polls shows that 75% of the Danish people already have made up their minds about the subject - but only 31% have actually notified the health system about their choice - that is why the campaign started.

I personally have made up my mind and I will allow my organs to be passed on to someone who might need them - only “but” is that I have checked the “ask the family” field so that in case they wouldn’t feel comfortable with it - at least will be having the final word.

What do you think about organ donation? Yay or Nay?

Just because you have a serious illness it doesn’t mean you don’t look perfectly healthy. It can be hard determine how to help a suddenly fainted person if you have no clue what medical condition the person is in.

That is also why I think that medical alert bracelets is a great idea. The catchy logo cannot be mistaken for “just jewellery”. You cam simply have your medical condition engraved into the bracelet so if you are ever in the need of help it will be much easier to help you out if you are wearing one of these.

Around here medical jewellery is becoming more and more popular so I know that I for certain would be looking out for one of these in case of an emergency. Maybe some day a life could be saved because of a bracelet - letting the people helping him out know what exactly they were supposed to treat.

This is also a great opportunity for me to say - take a first aid course! It’s certainly never a waste of time and if something should happen someday where you can - because of your knowledge - make a huge difference in the outcome of the accident - it will be worth it all!

Got A License To… Drive

This Monday I finally got my drivers license. I was one of the last ones in my drivers class to get it but I was one of those with the less errors so I am satisfied. I hope that I soon will feel more comfortable driving alone in the car - especially finding the courage to drive on the motorway all by myself - especially with the amount of traffic we have around here at that time of day where I need to be on wheels.

I am rather proud that I succeeded driving my husband to work this morning - this was the first time that I was driving our own car on the motorway and it takes a little time getting used to that old piece of junk we drive. I guess I will feel more happy driving when I find my routine - because it the moment I forget something each time I go driving - the seat-belt, the lights or something else.

I felt a little sad in the beginning of the classes because I was the oldest of the attendants. I am 25 years old and according to a lot of the 18 year old (you must be 18 to drive in Denmark) I should be an elite driver by now - but I comfort myself because fact is - my mother had her first driving lesson yesterday!

More and more people seems to be reaching for the stars. Just look at the amount of people who attends the talents shows for television shows like Idols, X-Factor and numerous other concept entertainment shows like that. This is while we at the same time see one pop idol after another crash and burn - in private and in public. The media follow them everywhere and as consumers the photographers, newspapers and journalists are easy targets when it comes to blame someone for the exposure - but would the paparazzi spend so many hours chasing something no one wanted - I guess not.

Do we as media consumers just want to see them fly high so we later can see them fall again - and follow them everywhere - from drug rehabilitation to public break downs. So why do people still strive to reach the stars - when they are well aware that they won’t really become interesting until they do something really stupid and get caught doing so on camera.

Is it the media or is it our nature? Isn’t it so by nature that the strongest, most beautiful or the one with the most resource receives the attention and fame to reproduce the most until that someday he or she will be pushed off the pedestal by someone else - someone new - because if that is the case the stars should be more afraid of their colleagues. Just a thought.

How would you feel if someone always was running behind you shooting pictures? Would you enjoy or hide away or become paranoid. I actually think the drug rehabilitation centres are great refugees - so maybe sometimes drugs are the only ladder down - down to earth - down to us - down to regular problems - which are also drug using these days. Are we caught in a loop here?

Recommended Paid Email Services

I have been playing around with a lot of “get paid to read e-mails” lately. Some of them have been very rewarding and some of them have been a struggle. Those I like are of course those sites where reaching a pay out is easy and fast.

The absolutely best site in my opinion is Donkeymails.com. Donkeymails have existed sine 2005 and I have earned payout quite a few times. They send out a decent amount of e-mails - enough to have something to click at all times but they don’t flood your inbox. A good advice is to have a separate e-mail account for this sort of mails - then you can deal with them when you want and don’t get your private mailbox all messy. All e-mails are worth 0.25 cents but there are also banners you can click at their main site where you can earn from 1 cent down to 0.1 cent per click.

I also suggest GainPay.com. GainPay sends e-mail worth 0.50 cents each - they don’t send out that many though but it’s fairly easy to reach payout anyway. If you have a good patience and don’t mind not reaching payout in one week GainPay is very recommendable.

So check out one of the two recommended sites if you need a fast $ or two. It wont make you a millionaire but you will be able to pay for ads, hosting and so on if you are an active member.
