New Traditions Comes With Festivities
My husband and I recently had our first wedding day and I looked up common traditions and gifts and I was surprised how well we here in Denmark have integrated Valentines day even though that no one celebrated the day just 7-8 years ago. Valentines day belonged to the Americans and we only had a peek once in a while on film.
Now time has changed and the new special day is being celebrated all over Denmark where lovers are showing eachother that love stands and still lasts. People are buying valentines day gifts like never before and I am very surprised why it took us so long to adapt.
The again - Halloween is also just starting to have it’s break through here and a lot of people are for and a lot of people are against. We haven’t adopted the tradition at our home but I have seen pumpkins everywhere when I am in town.
People likes celebrations and holidays and partying in general have never been something thought of as bad so celebrate as much as you like and exactly what you like - everyone needs to be a valentine once in a while!
