A few years back I rescued my husbands flower box at his balcony. Keeping even a little garden tidy makes the entire apartment look more clean and in some cases even improve the value of a house or apartment. A tidy garden gives the impression that everything is in perfect order.

Now I chose flowers that lasted a long time. These plants only last a single year but they last pretty much all spring and summer so it was a cheap but good investment and viola! A perfect tidy flower box for the husbands previous apartment.
