Christmas is Colours and Trends
It’s certainly no longer a secret that Christmas is on it’s way because the commercial market are yet again going crazy. When I was a child we always had home-made Christmas decorations all over the house but Christmas trees today look more designed and the trends are different each year. I want to keep our tradition with the home-made decorations.
This year it looks like the colours are green and black. I am more into red when it comes to relating something to Christmas.
When Denmark was freed from the German occupation we began hanging little Danish flags on the tree as well but that tradition is on it’s way out as we are becoming a more multi ethnic country and I personally don’t mind at all because the way our traditions have grown to be what they are are a mix and merge of many different traditions from all over the world and in the end I hope that the Christmas spirit will remind us all that Christmas is what you make of it - there are no correct way of celebrating it and there is more than one reason that we are.
